Using Discount Codes

 

MEMBERSHIP PURCHASE USAGE (Admin Portal)

  • Membership codes can be used when opening a new membership and Reopening a membership- Discount codes are not available when renewing or upgrading/downgrading
  • The percentage or amount being deducted via the discount code is applied only to the membership price (rate) and not the initiation or joiner fee. These fees will be billed at the full amount
  • The discount code will be entered on the purchase screen under the DISCOUNT CODE label
  • The amount discounted will be shown after the code has been applied

SERVICE PACKAGE USAGE (Admin Portal)

  • The percentage or amount being deducted via the discount code is applied only to the service price (rate) and not the initiation or joiner fee. These fees will be billed at the full amount
  • The discount code will be entered on the purchase screen under the DISCOUNT CODE label
  • The amount discounted will be shown after the code has been applied

DISCOUNT CODES ON THE MEMBER PORTAL

  • Before discount codes can be used for online purchases, they first need to be activated in your system you can activate by  Tools>>System Settings>>Non-Member settings, enable the discount code under Member Registration Requirements.

  • These codes can be used by a member or prospect who is purchasing a service package but can only be used by prospects when purchasing a new membership. 
  • The amount discounted will be shown after the code has been applied

ONLINE CATALOG USAGE 

  • Members can use Discount Codes for on-line product catalog shopping. 
  • The Code needs to be entered under the purchase details in the DISCOUNT CODE slot, Apply Code needs to be selected 
  • The amount discounted will be shown after the code has been applied
  • The discount will be applied to the ENTIRE cart.

***SECURITY ADJUSTMENTS ***

The ability to create and view Discount Codes can be added or taken away from an Administrator under their Security link.   Navigate to Quick Functions -> Users -> View Administrators -> and enter the last name of the Administrator you wish to edit.  Select Security from the Actions column of the Administrator who needs the adjustment. Expand the Functions area, expand the POS area, uncheck Edit Discount Code and View Discount Code to remove the security and check it to add it.  Scroll to the top of the for to Save. 

**Note - If the Administrator is logged in when the security has been changed, they must log out and back in for the new settings to take effect.
